Jim crow voting laws
thesis statement:
Jim crow voting laws effected the United States when they were passed. The effects were negative towards blacks and positive towards whites. The laws restricted African American rights which set them unequal to whites. Most attempts to fix racial inequality failed for many years. The attempts weren't attempts because the government "cared" they were attempts for the public to see that they were "trying" although everyone knew racial inequality was still alive in the government.
